CEUTAS' TIGERS

Up to the end of 2006 immigrants
who could get to Ceuta were likely to enter Europe.
About three years ago Zapatero's government
changed its policy and decided to leave immigrants
and refugees in the detention center (CETI) in Ceuta,
Spanish enclave in Morocco, waiting to send them
back home.
The 8th of April 2008 a group of 73 young Indians
from Punjab decided to come out of CETI,
climb mount Renegado and pitch a camp.
They were convinced their protest would last few
weeks and that finally the Spanish government
would listen to their cause.
It's now more than eighteen months
and the 53 people who are still living in tents
haven't received any answers yet.
